Hamsters research

Hamsters by developed countries are used for research purposes. Each year only in America 1 000 hamsters are used in laboratories to carry out searches. The reasons for them the most used are

• Availability and ease of reproduction

• Relative freedom of spontaneous diseases with weakness to introduce pathogens such as viruses, bacteria and other micro-organisms causing disease

• Anatomical and physiological characteristics with a unique to investigate potential

• The rapid development and short life-cycle

Chinese hamsters are known to laboratory animals, and they are preferred because of their temperament and the quiet of nature. It was used to conduct research on infectious diseases, radiobiological research, carcinogenic and mutagenic endocrine disorders.

Syrian Hamster is the second best choice due to their sensitivity to N-diethyl nitrosamines with development research resulting in respiratory tumor. They are regarded as particularly suited for searches that are highly concentrated and sustained smoke inhalation studies.

Hamster Armenian is used for research to investigate meiosis and their sensitivity to carcinogenic and mutagenic agents. The first is used for the spread of cancer and treats it later with the genetic material, what is DNA and thus increase the process of change in evolution.
